The Gowanus Years (End Of An Era) RM Fischer Pop Up Gallery

I'm really glad I made it to RM Fischer's marvelous show which is about to close after just a very limited run of 1 week. The show is full of imaginative things and creatures, in fact the work has a pop up book look to it, and also is rich in imagery and color. I loved his use of sewing and assembling these strange but lovable creatures, what an imagination he has, along with a great sense of freedom and exuberance. There is a playful childlike sensibility at work here. Also beautiful were R.M's many drawings some large and some small. This was a really good show, and I have to say that it was one of the best shows I saw in 2012.
