Bert Stern Original Mad Man

Saw this doc. the other night and recommend it. Its quite a story, Stern who died last year at 84 was an important commercial, fashion and celebrity photographer, infinitely better than the dreadful and overrated Annie Leibovitz and most of what passes for celebrity portraiture today. He also made the great doc. "Jazz on A Summer's Day", not to mention those iconic and lasting photos of Marilyn Monroe. Had no idea he was married to Allegra Kent and had 3 children with her. A difficult and self centered man, and sometimes its not easy to watch this very honest look at a brilliant photographer. He had many long and lasting relationships with women including the filmmaker of the doc. Shannah Laumeister. A compelling 89 minutes.
